Global PAH Data Shows Rising Cases and Risk Factors in Elderly
PAH has increased worldwide in older adults, largely due to growing aging populations, with the greatest risk factors in elderly women.
A study published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society found that from 1990 to 2021, cases of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) increased worldwide among older adults.
Elderly women were found to face the highest risk of death, according to data from the Global Burden of Disease Study.
