The Ministry of Health and Wellness has announced that health centres across Jamaica remain closed following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
However, public hospitals will continue to operate. The ministry has suspended all primary care services, and patients with scheduled appointments are advised to contact their health centre later in the week to reschedule.
Individuals with chronic illnesses should continue taking their medications as prescribed by their doctor while away from home, and take their medications with them if they need to evacuate.
