Forever Canadian Bus Tour
Thomas Lukaszuk visited Whitecourt, Edson, and Hinton in October as part of the Forever Canadian petition against Alberta separatism.
Lukaszuk's "unity bus" stopped in Edson and Hinton on October 22, with a deadline to gather 293,976 signatures by the end of the month.
“In Hinton, I was shocked – they really pulled in a lot of signatures,”
He described support for the petition from the region as "phenomenal", with several Whitecourt residents stepping up to be official canvassers.
The petition asks: "Do you agree that Alberta should remain in Canada?"
