Yukon electors will receive two distinguishable ballots in the 2025 territorial elections, one for regular votes and one for plebiscite votes.
The traditional ballot will list electoral districts and candidates, determined by a random draw, with two to four candidates indicated per electoral riding.
The plebiscite ballot will have a different design, featuring the plebiscite question, yes or no options, a blue stripe, and clear markings.
Chief electoral officer Maxwell Harvey explained that neither ballot contains information identifying the voter, ensuring the secrecy of votes.
Harvey said the two ballots will be separated for electors at the polls.
