Warren officials have submitted a $1 million grant to the Appalachian Regional Commission for the first phase of Allegheny Riverfront development.
The first phase includes installing a boat ramp, a stairway, and a floating dock to facilitate access to the Allegheny River for boaters and pedestrians.
“This isn’t just a total shot in the dark,”
said Chad Yurisic, city engineer, in response to a question from Mayor Dave Wortman, indicating the city is getting closer to completing the initial phase of the project.
