The Jamestown High School volleyball team pulled off an impressive win on Tuesday evening, stunning second-ranked Minot with a 3-1 upset.
The third-ranked Blue Jays are now 11-5 in the conference, while Minot is 12-4 in the WDA. The team is set to host undefeated Bismarck Century on Thursday at 7 p.m.
"We went to battle tonight," said head coach Sara Hegerle. "We needed some confidence after our match last Thursday."
Despite a tough start, with Minot taking an 8-0 lead aided by Kynsli Gillmore's four kills, the Jays regained their footing after a service error by the Majettes. The team will wrap up the regular season in November.
