Netherlands Supports Ukraine's Navy
The Netherlands has delivered an Alkmaar-class mine countermeasures vessel to Ukraine, enhancing Kyiv's naval capabilities in the Black Sea.
According to Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy,
"Recently, we received an Alkmaar-class mine countermeasures vessel from our partners, and by the end of the year, we expect the delivery of another. Crew training is already underway,"
A second vessel is expected by 2025. Neizhpapa met with Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Breekelman and General Onno Eichelsheim to discuss the security situation and cooperation prospects.
