The Whitecourt town council has planned intersection upgrades and awarded a contract worth $530K.
The council voted to invest in town infrastructure during its first regular meeting in October.
Contract Awarded
A $529,537 contract was awarded to Can-Traffic Services for traffic signal upgrades at two intersections.
We’ve identified traffic lights within our system that are due for replacement due to age and wear-and-tear.
The affected intersections are located at 49th Avenue and 51st Street, and 52nd Avenue, near Whitecourt Central School.
Project Phases
- Replacing traffic lights in the first phase.
- Widening roadways, upgrading pavement markings, and signage in the second phase.
