Motorist Detected Drink Driving on Monday Morning

A motorist was found to be over the drink drive limit at 8:30am on Monday, August 11, this year.

Arturas Puplauskas, 39, of Wildwood in Portadown, was detected near his home by police and was found to be slurring his words.

He had an alcohol in breath reading of 67, exceeding the legal limit of 35.

There was “no excuse” for the offence, according to the defence solicitor.

The defendant had previous offences, including driving whilst unfit.
At Craigavon Magistrates’ Court, the defendant was banned from driving for three years and fined £300.
