Socialism or Barbarism
A better country and world is possible.
More than a century ago, Rosa Luxemburg warned from a Berlin prison cell:
“Bourgeois society stands at the crossroads, either transition to socialism or regression into barbarism.”Her diagnosis remains relevant today.
In the United States, the path of barbarism was chosen long ago. Trump and his enablers have accelerated this descent, but they are both symptoms and causes. The current crises, including ecological collapse, immense inequality, and endless war, are logical consequences of a capitalist system based on exploitation and profit over people.
