Bourgeois society stands at the crossroads, either transition to socialism or regression into barbarism.Her diagnosis remains relevant today.
In the United States, the path of barbarism was chosen. Trump and his enablers hastened the descent, but are also symptoms of the issue. The crises of ecological collapse, immense inequality, and endless war are the outgrowths of a capitalist system built on exploitation.
Author's summary: Socialism is the alternative to barbarism.
