District 1 Class 5A Football: Jalen Harris Breaks Delco Record
Jalen Harris led Chester to a 15-10 win over Marple Newtown in the first round of the District 1 Class 5A Playoffs.
Chester's senior quarterback made a 42-yard strike to Shadrach George, giving him the Delco career passing record with 7,590 yards.
- Harris broke a mark that stood since 2019.
- He also ran it in from five yards out for the go-ahead score with 1:31 to go.
"Give me the ball,"
Harris said of that final drive. Chester's defense finished it, capped by a Zyon Santana sack to protect the lead.
