Fatal Road Traffic Collision in County Carlow
A man in his 40s has died after being struck by a car near the Kilkenny border with Carlow.
The collision occurred on the R703 in Ballyroughan Big, Borris, County Carlow, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 4:30pm.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the coroner has been notified. A post mortem examination will take place in due course.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 60s, was uninjured. The road remained closed overnight to allow for a technical examination by garda forensic collision investigators.
Gardaí are investigating the collision.
