The City of Hermiston and the Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation have installed three automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at popular recreation spots.
The AEDs were funded through a $7,500 grant from the Good Shepherd Foundation and were installed on October 28 at the Good Shepherd Pickleball Complex, Funland Playground, and HEROS Sportsplex.
The devices at the Pickleball Complex and Funland Playground are housed in secure outdoor cabinets, accessible by contacting 911 for the access code.
The unit at HEROS Sportsplex will remain unlocked during scheduled activities.
Quicker access to life-saving equipment for residents.
