From January 31 to February 15, 2026, several cinemas and media libraries in Île-de-France invite visitors to discover the imaginative universe of the Mycéliades science fiction festival, themed around resilience.
Across France, nearly 160 pairs of cinemas and media libraries will host the festival, offering an engaging program of screenings, discussions, creative workshops, escape games, and conferences. Participants will meet science communicators and web creators who share their visions of the future.
The 2026 edition focuses on resilience — humanity's capacity to face climate, energy, and food challenges. The festival will explore how cinema, literature, video games, and comics interpret this theme and its role in pop culture.
“It’s an opportunity to imagine ways to prevent the end of the world, to build livable worlds, and to confront crises together.”
Events in media libraries are generally free, while cinema screenings may require a ticket depending on each venue's pricing policy. Full program details will soon be available on the official website myceliades.com.
