The 2025 Fall Mack Days Fishing Event on Flathead Lake, sponsored by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, concluded Sunday with a total of 19,144 lake trout entries, surpassing last year's 18,414.
A total of 335 anglers participated, with 116 submitting one or more lake trout catches. The event's Monday-Thursday catch was 5,369, while Friday-Sunday totaled 13,775—both periods exceeding the 2024 harvest, which was 3,811 and 14,603 respectively.
Jens Gran of Polson won all three Bucket of Fish contests, weighing in a combined 93.65 pounds of lake trout.
