Kylie Minogue to Release Christmas Single 'Xmas' as Amazon Music Original

Australian pop legend Kylie Minogue is set to unveil her new festive single titled ‘Xmas’, created as an Amazon Music Original. The track promises to bring holiday joy with its lively and celebratory tone.

‘Xmas’ — pronounced “X-M-A-S” — will be available digitally via Amazon Music and in several physical formats including CD, 7-inch gold vinyl, and a 12-inch zoetrope vinyl, all open for pre-order on Amazon and Kylie’s official store.

Behind the Recording

Kylie introduced the track during her appearance on The Scott Mills Show on BBC Radio 2, explaining that the session took place during a brief break from her Tension tour. Interestingly, the recording was done in June, adding a summer twist to the Christmas atmosphere.

“Because I was on the road, we didn’t get to go so Christmassy. I had… You know I think it was from a CBeebies story, Christmas story, I did and they gave me a… like a Christmas stocking I think. I thought, I have got to take something Christmassy and I think that’s it. That’s the one thing that you may see… If there is any visuals of the recording that’s the… That’s it. We didn’t get to do fairy lights. We didn’t get to do paper chains. But in spirit we were very Christmassy.”
