As Remembrance Day approaches, a group of Paris, Ontario residents is gathering stories about local veterans and those still serving. The "Homes of Heroes" project honors their military service, helps younger generations understand the sacrifices of war, and supports the Paris Branch 29 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
“It’s getting late to hear some of these stories and so I thought they should probably be written down and made public so they don’t get lost entirely,”
Edwards collaborated with veterans Chuck Prystupa and Mark Ford, along with local historian Steve Pinkett, to create a project that maps out local veterans and reveals personal insights about their lives.
This initiative offers a valuable connection between the community and its veterans by sharing their histories and experiences.
