After its theatrical debut just a month ago, the sports biopic “The Smashing Machine” is now streaming at home. Produced by A24, the film stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as MMA legend and former UFC world champion Mark Kerr.
“The Smashing Machine” traces Kerr’s rise in the world of mixed martial arts, exploring how his relentless pursuit of greatness defined his legacy but also came at a severe personal cost.
Emily Blunt appears alongside Johnson as Dawn Staples, Kerr’s ex-wife, offering a deeper glimpse into the fighter’s off-ring struggles.
The film premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in August 2025, earning its director Benny Safdie the Silver Lion award for Best Direction.
The movie is now available for on-demand streaming and digital purchase through Prime Video and other major platforms.
You don’t need an Amazon Prime membership to rent or buy the film, but an Amazon account is required to access playback anytime.
“The Smashing Machine” is a gripping look at obsession, fame, and resilience within the brutal world of MMA.
