Southern Water has announced the end of the hosepipe ban for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The restriction was initially put in place in July due to record dry and hot weather across the UK.
Following wet weather in September and October, the ban was lifted on Friday.
We’re pleased to confirm that from today, Friday 31 October, the hosepipe ban in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight has been lifted.
Despite the recent wet weather easing shortages, officials warn that drought conditions are likely to continue into 2026 without sustained precipitation.
