Local Veterans Figure Charged with Carrying Firearm with Revoked Permit
A well-known figure in Delco veterans circles, Cohen, 56, was charged with carrying a firearm after his permit had been revoked.
The incident occurred during a traffic stop on Garrett Road in Upper Darby for an expired registration. According to the criminal complaint filed by Officer Corey Hansen, police stopped a silver Honda Pilot and spoke to the operator, Cohen.
During the stop, it was determined that Cohen's Pennsylvania concealed weapons permit was revoked. When asked, Cohen confirmed there was a firearm in the vehicle's glove compartment and allowed officers to retrieve it.
- Police removed a black .38 Ruger LCP containing six rounds.
- The firearm was secured in the patrol vehicle as evidence.
