Mexican authorities suspect that Carlos Manzo Rodriguez, the mayor of Uruapan, was killed by the Jalisco Cartel, according to a report.
The mayor was slain in the city center last week. The killing is linked to the capture of a local leader, Rene Belmonte, by police in August.
