Australia’s master storyteller marks a milestone with an album that solidifies his artistic legacy. After a gap of over six years between his self-written albums “Nature” (2018) and “Fever Longing Still” (2024), Kelly has returned with a new release just one year after the latter.
This latest album is significant as it celebrates Kelly’s thirtieth album, his fiftieth year in music, and his seventieth year of life. Hence, the title: “Seventy.”
Over five decades, Kelly’s music has become a soundtrack to Australian culture, earning him numerous accolades, including seventeen ARIA awards for recording and five APRA awards for songwriting. Recently, he was honored with the 2025 AACTA Award for Outstanding Contribution, presented by acclaimed actor Russell Crowe, a devoted lifelong fan.
