Remembrance Day 2025

On Remembrance Day, we honour all who have served and sacrificed in past and present conflicts. We remember their role in preserving our freedom and support current and former Armed Forces members and their families.

Local Observances

Many places of worship in and around Manchester will observe a two-minute silence. At the University of Manchester campus, The Holy Name Church will hold this silence on 9th November at 11am. Please check with your local place of worship for their plans.

University Campus Event

On 9th November, the North West Officer Training Corps, University of Manchester representatives, Multifaith Chaplains, university community members, and the public will gather at John Owen’s Quad at 10:45am. Attendees are asked to arrive before 10:45am for the service.

The two-minute silence will begin promptly at 11am.
